a better value in magneto maintenance. These kits are available now and include the OE parts
most often replaced during 500 hour inspections. These kits include: Points, Condenser, Rotor
gear, Carbon Brush, Impulse Coupling spring and cotter pin (as applicable) There are 6 part
numbers for these kits, MK431, MK432, MK433, MK631, MK632 & MK633.
There will soon be a sales bulletin available to describe part numbers to magneto applications.
Packaging these parts has reduced handling, allowing Champion to price reduce these kit parts
when compared to individual piece part prices.

containing hundreds of thousands of solder joints. Associates then spend significant time
inspecting those joints for a variety of criteria. No human visual inspection is 100% accurate and
the time spent on inspections accounts for hundreds of tiring hours per year. Technology has
provided us with a better way to accomplish this difficult and repetitive task; Automated Optical
Inspection (AOI).
We’ve recently installed new automation system intelligence with multiple cameras that are able to
capture images of the parts and solder joints from different angles. It then determines if they meet
the required standards for missing solder, part registration, lifted leads, part polarity and a multitude
of other potential defects. “This is one of the most advanced systems available and allows us to
reduce operator fatigue, yield more accurate inspections, and produce even better-quality parts.

Shaesta Waiz is currently en route on a solo flight around the world. That’s more than 30 stops over five
continents, in 18 countries – with approximately 25,000 miles flown.

Born in a refugee camp in Afghanistan in 1987, Waiz and her family fled to America to escape the brutal
Soviet-Afghan war. One of six sisters in her family, Waiz was raised in an underprivileged area of
Richmond, California, where she later discovered an interest in aviation. That’s when everything
changed for her.
A dual graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Waiz founded the Women’s Ambassadors
Program in 2011 to increase female enrollment through a modeled mentor program. In less than three
years, the program was successful increasing female enrollment from 13 to 22 percent, exceeding the
university’s initial goal. Dreams Soar was born in 2014 by Waiz, now a non-profit organization whose
goal is to partner with strong female role models along her global route, and together, promote the
importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and aviation-related education,
globally.
Global Partners to this program include ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization), National
Business Aviation Association (NBAA) and Honeywell Aerospace.

Having completed her historic transatlantic crossing early June departing from St. John’s, Canada (CYYT)
to Santa Maria, Portugal, LPAZ, (The Azores), she is flying a 2001 Beechcraft Bonanza A36 throughout
Europe and on to Egypt, Middle East, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, and United States
to meet with children and aviation professionals to promote the importance of STEM education.
The longest leg of the global flight is Honolulu, Hawaii to Oakland, California, one that extends to 2,091
nautical miles over the Pacific Ocean. U.S. stops include Columbus, Ohio, El Cajon, California, Phoenix,
Arizona, Wichita, Kansas, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Washington, D.C., and Mobile, Alabama.

Champion Aerospace High Performance Aviation Oil Filters provide up to 30% More Protection

Liberty, SC – Champion Aerospace LLC announced today the results of an extensive testing process that determined that Champion High Performance Aviation Oil Filters provide up to 30% more protection for your engine than competitive filters. In fact, in most cases competitive filters don’t even meet the minimum SAE ARP1400B standard for filtration efficiency.
Champion High Performance Aviation Oil filters are available for Lycoming and Continental Engines. Champion Aerospace holds highly anticipated airshow

Liberty, SC – (November 2, 2016) – Champion Aerospace LLC held its highly anticipated 2016 Air Show on October 5th at its world headquarters in Liberty, SC with over 2,000 people in attendance.
The event featured some of the best performers in the aerosports industry including longtime Champion advocates Michael Goulian, Scott Yoak, Paul Wood, Rob Holland, The Aeroshell Team, Greg Koontz and Matt Younkin. Additionally, country music star and avid pilot Aaron Tippin also performed a concert.
